Purchasing Assistant Manager / Supervisor

Position:

  • Purchasing Manager for all purchasing operation of company & campuses

Duties:

  • Develop, lead and execute full cycle of purchasing/sourcing strategies (all purchasing activities, vendor evaluation, cost, quality, quantity, service, availability, reliability,….)
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Negotiate strategies and close deal with optimal terms for contracts
  • Monitor and forecast price & market trends to identify changes of balance in supply- demand
  • Analyze and evaluate external price trends to identify opportunities to reduce overall purchasing costs
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and bench marking
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks
  • Check stocks and manage inventory level to optimize storage fee
  • Control and follow up the full process of goods delivery and receipt timely
  • Conduct periodic review to make sure the company is always purchasing at the best lowest price, warranty, contract term & conditions and using the best qualified vendor
  • Be in charge of purchasing all of direct imported and local material, equipment, tool and service for campuses from forecast analysis, demand determination, demand planning, ordering, follow up receiving, storage, delivery
  • Review purchasing request from campuses and evaluate whole year, quarterly, and monthly report of usage to minimize expense
  • Prepare purchasing and sourcing plan, goods reservation for whole year, quarterly, and monthly to achieve company target
  • Be responsible for handling all complaints relating to the quality of purchased goods
  • Establish and improve purchasing processes: supplier selection criteria, new item code, price change.
  • Manage the supplier certification and audit program
  • Coordinate supply chain operations with finance functions to optimize cash flows
  • Manage stock control and perform inventory reconciliation functions
  • Consult methods, solutions to avoid slow moving stock management, over purchasing plan, expired goods: daily/weekly/monthly checking
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain good relation with Suppliers to ensure goods availability at good price, quality & reliability
  • Supports internal customers (academic & non-academic departments,…) by providing information on purchasing processes, products and suppliers
  • Perform other duties required by BOD.

Yêu cầu công việc

Experience:

  • At least 7-year experience in Purchasing/Procurement Manager
  • Prior experience in education industry is a plus

  • Fluency in English & MS office
  • Good negotiation skill, communication and presentation
  • Business ethical mindset and transparent
  • Skilled in planning and develop long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments
  • Skilled in employee supervision and management

Degree:

  • University graduates in Economics/ International Trade/ Finance/ Business Administration
