Position Overview
The Production Development Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end production development process for printing and packaging products. This role requires strong technical knowledge of printing, packaging materials, and production processes to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. The Manager will work closely with global teams, suppliers, and internal departments to drive product innovation, process improvements, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the product development process for printing and packaging categories.
- Oversee sample development, testing, and approvals to ensure quality standards.
- Translate market needs, customer input, and competitive intelligence into product concepts.
- Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Customer Service teams to develop innovative and cost-effective printing and packaging solutions.
- Work with local and overseas suppliers to source materials, negotiate costs, and monitor performance.
- Ensure smooth transition from product development to bulk production, solving any issues that may arise.
- Monitor production processes, capacity planning, and compliance with Trimco’s global standards.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, risk assessment, resource allocation.
- Maintain updated product libraries, technical documents, and specifications.
- Analyze costs, quality, testing and lead time to propose improvements and efficiency gains.
- Train and guide the production development team to strengthen technical knowledge and operational performance.
- Provide regular reports to senior management and regional HQ on project status, supplier performance, and key KPIs.
