Country Sales Representative (in Hanoi)

Job Description

Working as a Country Sales Representative for Peter Justesen Company A/S, you are responsible for the following tasks.

Sales & Sales Administration

  • To develop and grow turnover in the designated area of responsibility.

  • To reach yearly KPIs in relation to (1) Further yearly KPIs are determined on a yearly basis; (2) Number of new customers and (3)Profit & Loss.

  • To continually update and work with sales performance and focus tools, such as Markets Status & Actions and Action Plan.

  • New Business – To continually analyse the market in regards to potential new customers/nationalities.

  • To plan and execute a maximum of sales meetings in the territory.

  • To participate in diplomatic events such as national days, diplomatic social events etc.

  • To follow up on visits and events.

  • To participate in and prepare for regional and international sales meetings and kick off events

  • To register and handle all orders and quotations from all customers in the market

  • To update the addresses and emails of potential customers

  • To work proactively in making sure customer orders are placed, confirmed and handled in due time to make sure ordered products can be shipped in line with target for service level at 99 %.

  • To register and handle after sale issues in cooperation with Peter Justesen Company head quarter in Copenhagen

Budget and forecasting

  • On an ongoing basis to follow up on KPIs, departures and turnover targets.

  • On a weekly basis to forecast

  • On a yearly basis to participate in the development of the coming years budget:


  • On an ongoing basis to create and develop Activity and Campaign Plans for the designated area

  • To ensure that Global Campaigns are implement on a local level

  • To make sure that the right number of customers are being reached with printed catalogues

  • To promote our online platform

  • To insure that the mailing list is, at all times, up to date

  • To proactively seek e-mail permissions from existing and new customers

Logistics and custom clearance

  • To optimize the local distribution set up

  • Daily communication with local transporter

  • To negotiate local distribution cost in collaboration with the Market Manager

  • In collaboration with SCM to ensure the optimal transport set up

  • To continually follow up on arrival dates, door to door service and quality of delivery


  • To continually monitor and report the movements of competitors in the designated area

  • To create counter attack plans in collaboration with the Market Manager

  • To act in accordance with all Financial guidelines

  • To contribute to the sharing of knowledge between agents and between agents and HQ

  • To secure an ongoing constructive dialogue with all departments within Peter Justesen Company A/S

  • To have daily contact and dialogue with the Market Manager and the Customer Service at our office in Copenhagen, Denmark

  • Prioritization of work

Job requirement


  • Candidates must be based in Hanoi and will work from home

  • University degree or higher in Business Administration, Commerce or relevant majors

  • Have experience within Duty Free Sales in the region

  • Be driven by sales and customer contact

  • Have good sales and marketing skills (planning and execution)

  • Be able to work independently

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Having a broad network with Diplomats, Embassies & Consulates and international organizations is an advantage

  • Having an understanding of importing and clearing of goods through customs is an advantage.

  • Be fluent in both English and Vietnamese on HIGH level (both written and verbal) English is of the must importance.
