Actuarial Staff

Job requirement

We are seeking self-motivated and open-minded individuals, who are brave in the world of risk, to join us in making a difference.

We look for suitable candidates to fit in the following teams:

1. Product & Pricing

  • Market & Product Intelligence: Conduct product research and market analysis
  • Pricing: Conduct the pricing of new products; Prepare the approval documents
  • System Management: Participate in the product implementation process, including system testing
  • Implementation & Communication: Liaise with external parties such as reinsurers, and alternative distribution channels

2. Valuation & Reinsurance

  • Valuation: Prepare internal and regulatory reports, e.g. reserve, solvency, capital management
  • Data Processing: Prepare data and conduct in-depth analysis of financial metrics
  • Prophet Modeling: Develop actuarial modelling using Prophet software
  • Reinsurance: Provide support to the management of company’s reinsurance portfolio

3. Risk Management & Special Projects

  • Business Plan & Embedded Value: Participate in the business planning; Calculate Embedded Value
  • Experience Studies: Conduct in-depth analysis on actuarial risks (claim, expense, persistency, etc.)
  • Sale Support: Provide actuarial support on distribution initiatives, such as compensation scheme and contests
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects of the department as and when available

Job requirement

- Fresh graduate as Bachelor of Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics or Economics

 Advantage: 2+ years of experience in life insurance and/ or 2-3 Passed Exams

- Strong commitment to actuarial career; good progresses in actuarial qualifications or in academic are a plus.

- Good understanding of local life insurance market (e.g. products, regulations)

- Illustrate excellent technical, analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong Excel, Access and relevant modelling skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
