Role Overview
As a Strategy Manager, you are a leader who opens up groundbreaking opportunities for clients. You will collaborate closely with the Account and Creative departments. By directly managing or mentoring junior strategists, you not only strengthen your own skill set but also create development opportunities for those around you. You possess a sharp perspective on brands and consumers, and your voice carries weight thanks to your knowledge and experience, where an understanding of consumer attitudes and behaviors is the foundation of your expertise.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Strategy Planning & Development:
○ Develop brand strategies, write creative briefs, and lead the development and presentation of creative ideas.
○ Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape to make informed strategic decisions.
○ Proactively propose fresh ideas to clients to push their brands into new spaces.
• Research & Analysis:
○ Design and implement research projects to solve client's business problems, gather deep insights into the target audience, and test advertising concepts.
○ Translate client requirements into compelling strategic and creative frameworks.
• Collaboration & Leadership:
○ Work closely with the Creative and Account teams to ensure marketing strategies are effectively translated into engaging campaigns.
○ Manage the development of comprehensive media plans in coordination with media planning teams.
○ Present strategic plans and findings to clients, effectively communicating the rationale behind the proposed strategies.
• Team & Thought Leadership Development:
○ Provide professional development opportunities and on-the-job training for the team as needed.
○ Contribute thought leadership and share best practices within the department.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
• 3-4+ years of experience in planning/brand strategy, with a preference for experience at IMC/Creative agencies.
• Managerial experience; demonstrable experience in a variety of strategic engagements with regional or global client brands.
• A proven track record of developing effective marketing strategies that deliver tangible business results.
• Strong understanding of market research, consumer behavior, and marketing communications.
• Ability to manage the day-to-day work for clients and lead project pitches.
• Comfortable working directly with senior-level clients; possesses a professional and captivating presentation style.
• Fluent in both English and Vietnamese for communication and presentation.
