The Logistics Sales Manager will support the organization through development management and leadership of the sales team. This role will plan and implement sales strategies that will gain business and effectively manage the logistics businessofclients.Including:
1. Sales strategic consultant to Chairman & BOD:
Directly manage Sales Department to achieve company’s sales target
Conduct sales planning and follow up in line with company sales targets, objectives and strategies
Set sales team profit goals and accountable for business goals
Monitor the company's business strategy, continuously analyse market information, and propose effective development plans
Strategise, budget, and negotiate new business proposals, presenting to both management and customers
Manage sourcing of customers. Build and maintain relationships with customers and growing customer base.
Maintenance of current customers: Including analysis of current air/sea/road freight to assure the business is competitive and also providing excellent service.
Monthly financial analysis: including determining overall success of shipment/customer (supported by Financial team)
2. Supplier management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing/new supplier;
Source and onboard new suppliers to expand the vendor network.
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers (ocean freight, air freight, road transportation) to get suitable offers.
3. Cost Negotiation:
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best price >> Collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.
4. Costing analysis: calculating the price of distribution channel for agent and direct customers.
5. Market Analysis:
Cultivate an understanding of and network within the local market to identify opportunities and drive projects
Provide regular market analysis and insights to inform strategic sales decisions.
Determine current rates in the market place offered by competitors.
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvement
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments within the company to provide satisfying service to customers, or/and align sales strategies with business objectives
