Job Description
I. RANGE OF RESPONSIBILITIES1. Summary
- Responsible for the operation and results of import export, warehouse, and shipping areas, reports to Head of Supply Chain, and manages all logistics staff.
- Employee is responsible in proactively receive, search, learn and comply with prevailing law and company regulation which are communicated via internal information channels including broadcasting, email, SBS (Sonion Business System), notice board and electronic notice in every areas. This content includes but not limited to: ISO on Quality Management, Environment, Occupation Health & Safety, Code of conduct and Corporate Social Responsibility, Labor safety and Fire Prevention and Fighting, Work Rule and Employee Handbook and other internal regulations.
- Attending concerned training courses of QMS–ISO 9001, EMS-ISO 14001, OH&SMS-ISO45001 where required.
2.Import Export Management
- Responsible for planning transport routes and means with optimal costs.
- Ensures that goods are packaged appropriately,
- Negotiates contracts for transportation and handling.
- Obtain, prepare and check all necessary documents required to ensure that the documents meet the requirements of national customs authorities or any other regulatory body.
- Oversees the delivery of goods in accordance with customer specifications and ensures that deadlines are met.
3. Shipping Management
- Manage inbound inventory receiving and put-away activities.
- Manage outbound shipping activities including the creation of shipping labels, carrier communication, customer compliance, etc.
- Responsible for improving and maintaining pick accuracy
- Accountable for leading and assist the shipping staff in resolving issues related to order fulfillment and shipping
- Document and maintain shipping procedure
- Maintain proper balance and work flow in picking, audit, and shipping capacity.
- Perform periodical cycle physical counts.
4.Warehouse Management
- Managing operating expenses, including labor, packaging, and freight to budgeted levels adjusted for volume changes
- Managing utilities, building and grounds maintenance, and facility capital projects
- Creating a safe work environment for all employees and visitors
- Ensuring that employees follow all established policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records
- Maintain good housekeeping in the warehouse
5. Others
- Responsible for budgets and cost effectiveness of import export, shipping, and warehouse
- Staffing and people management activities of those teams
- Other tasks may required from time to time from authorized managers
