About the job:
We’re looking for a Deputy Head of Accounting – Residences Projects to lead daily accounting operations, ensure compliance, and support strategic financial reporting at Highgate. Success in this role means delivering accurate reports, maintaining strong controls, and developing a high-performing team. This is a key leadership position within our Property Management Division, reporting directly to the Head of Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and review daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare and verify financial reports including balance sheets, P&L statements, cash flow reports, and tax reports (monthly/quarterly/yearly).
- Support the Head of Accounting in management reports, budget analysis, and accounting setup for new projects.
- Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders such as tax authorities, banks, and auditors.
- Review and control contracts, asset records, debts, and ensure adherence to VAS and legal requirements.
- Assist in team management: assign work, evaluate performance, and propose staff development plans (training, coaching, reward/discipline).
- Report regularly to the Head of Accounting on key issues and improvements.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
