Senior PMO Director

Job overview:

Galaxy Holdings is seeking a visionary and execution-driven PMO Director to lead our centralized Project Management Office (PMO). This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of critical initiatives across the organization, particularly in Product Development and IT Service Management. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, standardize project governance, and accelerate business outcomes in alignment with the Group’s growth and transformation goals.

1. PMO Strategy & Governance

• Define and implement a group-wide PMO framework, including methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Lead governance across all strategic programs and ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Serve as a key advisor to the executive team on program prioritization, risk management, and resource allocation.

2. Strategic Program Portfolio Management

• Oversee planning, execution, and reporting of strategic projects across multiple business units and subsidiaries.
• Manage a consolidated view of project health, risk exposure, interdependencies, and resource utilization.
• Align cross-functional initiatives to corporate objectives and transformation roadmaps.

3. Product & IT Service Alignment

• Collaborate closely with Product and Technology leaders to drive the successful delivery of digital products and customer-facing solutions.
• Ensure seamless coordination between product roadmaps, engineering capabilities, and IT service delivery.
• Contribute to service design, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives across the tech ecosystem.

4. Executive Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a central liaison between project teams and executive leadership, ensuring consistent updates, escalation handling, and alignment.
• Facilitate C-level project reviews and decision-making forums using structured, data-backed reporting.
• Champion a culture of performance, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.

5. PMO Talent Management & Culture Building

• Build and lead a high-performing team of program/project managers.
• Promote best-in-class project management practices through coaching, training, and internal capability building.
• Foster a delivery-oriented, agile, and innovation-driven PMO culture across the organization.

6. And another task is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or internationally recognized certifications (PMP/ PgMP/ SAFe/ Prince2) are highly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in program/project management, including 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale, cross-functional programs.
• Deep understanding of both Product Development lifecycles and IT Service Operations, preferably in tech-focused or multi-sector corporations.
• Strong command of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies; hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Asana, MS Project, or equivalent.
• Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluent in both Vietnamese and English with strong presentation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, matrixed, and evolving organization.
