JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Project Manager is responsible for leading and implementing cross-functional technology and process improvement projects that enhance Ashton Phu My’s warehouse efficiency, automation, and digital transformation.

This role requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, project management expertise, and leadership skills to ensure the successful integration of automation technologies, AI tools, and data-driven systems into warehouse operations.

The Project Manager will coordinate with key departments — Warehouse, IT, Maintenance, HR, and Production — to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, system integration, and employee readiness for digital adoption.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Technology Implementation & Integration

  • Lead projects related to automation (robotics, conveyors, AMRs, AS/RS) and smart warehouse systems.

  • Work with IT and Maintenance teams to integrate new technologies with existing WMS, IoT, and data platforms.

  • Support AI and machine learning initiatives, such as predictive maintenance, demand forecasting, and real-time performance monitoring.

  • Ensure smooth system deployment with minimal disruption to operations.

2. Data Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Use data analytics and performance metrics to identify process bottlenecks, optimize layouts, and improve material flow.

  • Apply predictive and prescriptive analytics to support proactive decision-making.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, productivity, and operational transparency.

3. Project Planning & Management

  • Apply Agile or Waterfall methodologies to manage complex, multi-phase projects.

  • Define project objectives, milestones, deliverables, and timelines aligned with business priorities.

  • Manage project budgets, monitor ROI, and control capital expenditures.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining execution speed and quality.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with automation vendors, consultants, and service providers to ensure timely project delivery.

  • Act as the main liaison between internal departments (Warehouse, IT, HR, Finance) and external partners.

  • Negotiate and coordinate technical requirements, service levels, and implementation schedules.

5. Change Management & Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams through technological and operational transitions.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, practical terms to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Promote a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Support training and engagement initiatives to help employees adapt to new systems and technologies.

6. Reporting & Evaluation

  • Track and report project performance using KPIs and dashboards.

  • Present project outcomes, ROI analysis, and improvement results to senior management.

  • Recommend further enhancements or scalability options based on results and feedback.

Technical Skills

  • Automation Technologies – General Understanding of robotics, conveyor systems, automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs)
  • AI & Machine Learning Basics - Familiarity with predictive analytics, computer vision, inventory optimization algorithms, and demand forecasting
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) - Knowledge of how WMS integrates with automation and AI tools
  • Data Analytics - Ability to interpret operational data, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • IoT & Sensors - Understanding of connected devices and real-time monitoring systems
  • System Integration - Experience with integrating new technologies into existing warehouse infrastructure

Project Management Skills

  • Agile/Waterfall Methodologies - Structured approaches to manage complex implementations
  • Vendor Management - Coordinating with technology providers, contractors, and consultants
  • Budget Management - Tracking ROI, capital expenditures, and operational savings
  • Risk Management - Identifying potential implementation challenges and mitigation strategies
  • Timeline & Milestone Tracking - Ensuring projects stay on schedule
