Summary / Objective
We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support the design, research, and development of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and intelligent mechanical systems. This role combines mechanical engineering, embedded controls, and MCU programming to drive innovation from concept through production. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on product design experience and a passion for robotics and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Development
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative physical products using sound engineering principles to meet market and customer needs.
- Use 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, or equivalent) to design components, assemblies, and mounting systems.
- Support mechanical design and R&D for automation, programmed control, and AGV-related projects.
Embedded Systems & MCU Programming
- Develop firmware for MCUs (Microchip, Arduino, etc.).
- Program and integrate control logic for motors, drivers, sensors, actuators, and safety systems.
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits, embedded controllers, and communication interfaces (CAN, UART, I2C, SPI).
Mechanical–Electrical Integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components into functional prototypes.
- Support wiring design, harness layout, PCB coordination, and system-level testing.
Prototyping & Testing
- Build, test, and validate prototypes for performance, reliability, and safety.
- Analyze test data, diagnose issues, and implement improvements.
- Support mechanical layouts, tolerance considerations, and manufacturability improvements.
Project Support
- Work with internal teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation including BOMs, wiring diagrams, specifications, and design reports.
- Participate in supplier meetings, customer discussions, and on-site assessments as needed.
