Get to know our Team:

The People Rewards & Organisational Planning team in People Operations is responsible for managing Grab’s global compensation and benefits; planning our global workforce; and driving the People workstream for various M&A and Joint Venture projects.

Get to know the Role:

The role of the People M&A Integration Specialist is to project manage all people integration activities of M&As (including divestitures) and facilitate the set-up of People function & operations of Joint Ventures through active engagement of business stakeholders and proactive collaboration with functional experts in order to achieve the business objectives.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Project manage all integration activities of M&As (including divestitures) with internal/external stakeholders and business functions such as Country People Operations, People Business Partners, Corporate Development, Legal, Finance, Facilities and IT to be within project timeline, budget and objectives

  • Track and follow-up on all People integration deliverables including Compensation & Benefits harmonisation, HRIS (Workday) integration, payroll processing, change management and cultural onboarding

  • Facilitate the set-up of People function & operations of Joint Ventures including hiring of key leadership and technical/functional positions and set-up of employment policies and agreements, compensation structure, benefits programs, HRIS system & payroll process

  • Maintain close liaison with various service providers including external legal counsel, HR outsourcing partners and recruitment agencies and ensure service standards are met

  • Monitor and follow-up on all secondment cases into Joint Ventures covering their secondment terms/provisions, agreement paperwork and cross-charging

  • Anticipate challenges & bottlenecks and proactively develop alternative solutions to meet project outcomes


The must haves:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as HR Generalist or HR Business Partner with knowledge of Compensation & Benefits and HR systems

  • Experience in HR integration and change management in M&A an added advantage

  • Ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver small and large-scale projects efficiently and effectively

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced VUCA environment with multiple, concurrent projects and stakeholders

  • Strong problem solving & project management skills, attention to detail and follow-through
