Middle Data Engineer

We're looking for a Middle Data Engineer to join our growing data team and contribute to building a modern, scalable data platform. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers to implement data pipelines, develop transformation logic, and support our medallion architecture across ingestion, processing, and analytics layers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer ready to deepen their expertise in modern data technologies while taking ownership of meaningful components within our data infrastructure.
Platform Modernization

· You will contribute to the transformation of legacy systems into our modern data architecture.

· This includes following engineering best practices such as code reviews, documentation, and testing, while actively learning from senior team members and growing your technical capabilities.

Data Ingestion and Orchestration

· You will develop and maintain datapipelines using Apache Airflow and Python. This includes writing and optimizing DAGs for ingesting data from brand partners, implementing data validation logic, and troubleshooting pipeline failures to ensure reliable data delivery.

Data Transformation and Processing

· You will build data transformation workloads by implementing Spark jobs based on business requirements. This involves developing scalable data pipelines, handling data quality issues, and supporting monitoring andalerting systems to ensure pipeline health and data freshness.

Analytics and Reporting

· You will support the development of data modelsinSnowflakeforanalytical workloads.

· You'll work with BI teams to understand reporting requirements and help build aggregation pipelines that support business intelligence and operational reporting needs.

Required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
• Familiarity with Apache Spark or other distributed data processing frameworks.
• Basic understanding of cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and ETL/ELTpatterns.
• Awareness of data governance and compliance principles.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
•  Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work

Nice to Have
• Experience with Delta Lake or similar lakehouse technologies
• Familiarity with dbt for transformation workflows
• Experience in loyalty, banking, airlines or multi-tenant data platforms
• Exposure to monitoring andalerting tools for data pipelines
• Experience with Power BI, similar BI tools and Dashboards
• Agentic AI efficient prompting skill
