• Automation Project Management:o Attend improvement meetings, work with the Operations Team to develop action plans for new automatic, and semi-automatic equipment, and scheduling needso Coordinate development plan and follow-up actions, including but not limited to Conceptualization, Simulation, or Prototypingo Create collaborative project communication channels with Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Supervision, and floor operators.o Develop and maintain Gantt Charts, Project Schedules, Risk Assessments, and Contingency Planso Develop agendas to facilitate and document project meetingso Deliver formal presentations to leadership regarding project status.o Manage suppliers of capital equipment for turn-key applications/custom equipment. Manage cost, timing and budget of each project• Factory Automation and Technology Developmento Have the ability to conduct research, development, and implementation of new manufacturing technologies, Robotics, or IoT platforms and capital equipment to improve current throughput, scrap/rework reduction, reduce cost, improve quality, reliability and visuality.o Have ability to build simulations, real prototypes to confirm feasibility as well as fabrication time/cost estimates and test proposed fabrication processeso Commit to major strategic cost, quality and delivery initiatives with aggressive focus on breakthrough process and technology improvements to achieve a substantial competitive advantageo Conduct equipment certification and run-off, using statistical analysis tools to verify equipment, capabilityo Have the capability to use CAD to design automatic equipment, integration system (to Automatic Hardware and Mechanical Design - Mechatronic Engineering)o And/ or have the capability to use PLC, computer-based, and cellphone-based language to program automatic equipment, and integration systems (to Automatic Software and Electrics Design - Mechatronic Engineering).o Assist with Continuous Improvement Projects in Kaizen Activities, Visual Management, OEE, etco Engage in automation and innovation courses through technology co-research and development as well as engineering co-test and deployment.• Automation Design Analysis and Continuous Improvemento Perform a wide variety of calculations and software-aided analysiso Possess a systematic as well as creative approach to the problem-solving processo Provide multiple what-if scenarios to find the best total cost solutiono Exhibit vision and foresight to test process extremes and build a robust risk assessment analysis matrix to ensure project successo Understand well the financial impacts of problem and solution
