Cloud Engineer – Education & Managed Services

Role Overview:

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for operating, administering, and continuously improving cloud platforms, Google Workspace for Education, and campus IT infrastructure in a managed services environment. This role focuses on access management, security, cloud operations, education platform integration, and day-to-day service reliability under defined SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage IAM and access control across Google Workspace and AWS.
• Administer Google Workspace for Education, including security, user lifecycle, and Classroom operations.
• Support AWS managed services: governance, security monitoring, cost controls, and automation.
• Integrate education platforms (LMS/SIS) using SSO and standard APIs.
• Design, configure, and operate campus network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, VLAN, VPN, security).
• Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and support backup, DR, and compliance activities.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and deliver monthly operational reports.

• 2–5 years of experience in Cloud, System, or Network Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Google Workspace for Education.
• Solid knowledge of IAM, SSO (SAML/OIDC).
• Experience operating AWS environments.
• Strong networking fundamentals.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Terraform or AWS CDK.
• AWS Well-Architected Review experience.
• Knowledge of LMS, SIS, OneRoster.
• AWS or Google Cloud certifications.
