Business Improvement & Automation team is responsible for evangelizing process re-engineering, LEAN & Six Sigma methodology, and process automation within Regional Operations in order to provide the efficiency leverage for the business to grow sustainably. We operate on a project basis starting with building a business case, requirement scoping, facilitating improvement workshops and developing automation and process re-engineering solutions.
Get to know the role:
You will be responsible for identifying potential improvement areas, provide solutions, implement, and evaluate the result. An immersive understanding of the business processes and the ability to generate functional solutions are key success factors for this role. Excellent workshop facilitation for cross-functional teams and presentation skills are a must.
The day-to-day activities:
You will develop and lead process improvement and automation programs:
- Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities regionally across the organization in support of all departments and functional areas.
- Facilitate cross-functional improvement workshops to identify pain points and drive process re-engineering. Document requirements and propose solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Business Process Automation and Product teams to design automation solutions.
- Advise business stakeholders on the preferred improvement and automation solutions, and define scope and objectives.
- Lead process improvement projects and coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure that deadlines and objectives are met, and that the transition to the new normal is smooth.
- Facilitate the deployment of systems, solutions and business processes within the organization.
The must haves:
- An Undergraduate Degree in Engineering or Business disciplines
- 2+ years experience with operational processes: business process improvement, process mapping, operating model design, etc.
- Demonstrated expertise of building consensus across teams, and influencing successful outcomes in business improvement
- Good understanding of the programming logic and ability to communicate with Developers
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Passionate about customer centricity coupled with a desire to support the Business Improvement & Automation’s mission of leading continuous improvement across Grab
- Good in data analysis
- Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Visio or other diagramming applications
- Experience in leading teams in business process improvement initiatives
- Experience in project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- Readiness to travel >50% of the time
- Good to have: certification in Six Sigma, LEAN, Agile, PMP practices
- Experience in VBA macro, SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages is a plus
