The day-to-day activities:

  • Serve as a key member of the GrabPay Business Development team to define the current payment landscape, strategize and execute top business development/partnership opportunities;
  • Special focus on negotiating deals with payment services providers to ensure a strategic payment channel mix and low cost of funds;
  • Leverage Grab’s business development network and generate new leads as required;
  • Develop a business development plan focused on growing the business through partnerships;
  • Actively identify prospects/partners across various industries to engage by effectively developing and communicating a clear Grab value proposition to the partner’s business;
  • Drive deals end-to-end from closure to execution and maintain key relationships at senior levels of small/medium/large businesses;
  • Drive strategic implementation through reviewing, approving and integrating key initiatives, and processes to achieve short and long term strategy for GrabPay;
  • Ensure that the company is well positioned to meet with the key challenges ahead within the industry and country market;
  • Coordinate closely with Grab’s other functions like operations, product, and compliance teams to define partnership priorities;
  • Support the partnership process from building relationships, to developing, negotiating and securing contracts.


The must haves:

Personal qualities

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in both Vietnamese and English;
  • Strong integrity and understanding of professionalism and code of conduct;
  • Able to work as a business partner with management, successfully acting as an advisor;
  • Demonstrated capability in defining, driving and orchestrating strategic business objectives;
  • Able to work in dynamic and fast paced environment and to meet critical deadlines;

Qualifications

  • University graduate or higher education in relevant fields;
  • Minimum 5-year experience in sales/business development;
  • Experience in driving and implementing business strategy;
  • Experience in building long term partnership planning and relationships;
  • Strong partnership network preferred.
