1) General- Oversee the operational support and performance of core banking system applications, ensuring seamless service delivery.- Lead a team to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve complex application-related problems.- Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of critical banking applications to meet business objectives.2) Application Management- Manage the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of core banking system applications.- Monitor application performance metrics, proactively address alerts, and implement solutions to optimize system efficiency.- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and vendor teams to resolve issues, implement upgrades, and drive continuous improvement.3) Documentation- Ensure comprehensive documentation of operational processes, incident reports, and resolution strategies.- Maintain accurate records of application configurations, changes, and service level agreements (SLAs).- Develop and update operational runbooks to support consistent application management practices.4) Administrative- Enforce adherence to the financial institution’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.- Manage operational budgets, vendor contracts, and resource allocation for application support activities.5) Policy- Ensure compliance with the financial institution’s IT policies, security standards, and industry regulations.- Promote and enforce IT security best practices to maintain a secure and resilient application environment.- Conduct regular audits to ensure alignment with internal and external compliance requirements.6) Management Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership to the application operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.- Report regularly to senior IT management on application performance, incidents, and operational improvements.- Drive initiatives to enhance the stability, scalability, and functionality of core banking applications in collaboration with cross-functional IT teams.
