Position Context
• Leading E/E design of vehicle features to provide competitive positioning
• Work to define new products capabilities and features
• Strong focus on mid to long term business and product plans
Position Overview
• Working in a team environment with external suppliers to oversee robust design and modification of vehicle electrical components/systems
• Manage E/E software releases throughout the development phase
• Lead E/E testing and vehicle launch in manufacturing plant
Main responsibilities:
Design/Development
• Developing Electrical/Electronic Feature and Function Lists
• Perform and analyse benchmarking of competitor E/E systems
• Program interface for change control of E/E features and functions
• Technical assistance for E/E sourcing
• Technical support for component engineers to develop and validate appropriate components
• Work with engineers and technicians to design and build E/E systems for prototypes
• Review DVP&R, identifying internal and external testing resources and ensuring all testing is completed
• Support development process using engineering LabCar
• Co-ordinate testing and releasing of system software to other departments
• Perform software updates for prototype vehicles and ensure all vehicles are fully tested for E/E functions
• Perform troubleshooting on vehicle E/E systems and provide recommendations for improvements to component engineers and suppliers
Vehicle Launch
• Support vehicle launch activities for E/E team
• Update software, perform vehicle E/E function testing in plant as required to support EOL activities
• Define and document E/E system and component issues and ensure fixes are put in place to support next build phase
• Interact with component engineers and suppliers to resolve system issues
• Technical support for EOL configuration and diagnostics for E/E systems
• Technical skills required
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years working within Automotive field
• Previous experience with E/E feature/functions
• Experiencing with software testing and releasing
• Experience with automotive vehicle electrical systems and functional sub-systems
• Extensive experience with CAN tools to analyse vehicle software issues

• Excellent command of English both verbal and written
• Previous experience working in an international team/ability to work with cross culture team
• Positive attitude and constructive approach while interfacing with peers/suppliers
