VINA-BAT (SMD) JV is a joint venture between Vinataba (a leading Tobacco in Vietnam) and BAT Group. As position of Finance team, the jobholder have to provide the information for SMD JV Finance Manager and Senior Finance Manager cum Chief Accountant for decision making, ensure that (VINA-BAT) / SMD JV and its TB operate under an effective control environment with proper governance and risk management in place, under a very unique business model that requires financial management experience.

1. Business

• Manage the tax reporting and compliances to ensure OTIF reporting and full compliance with tax regulation
• Support the business for tax optimisation and tax risk minimisation
• Manage the forex dealings and deposit planning to optimise cash management
• Support planning and reporting manager in delivering cashflow target
• Monitor control environment of the business and drive for control compliance in finance department, and support control compliance for other departments

• Manage tax audit, government audit or state audit to minimise the implication

2. People

• Build and maintain relationship with business partners across entities to support for business works
• Build and maintain relationship with external stakeholders (bank/auditor/tax,…) to support for tax and treasury tasks
• Maintain and contribute to Financial team to ensure that the team accomplish tasks smoothly
• Develop potential successors and back-up staff

3. Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce
• Tax knowledge and experience
• 3-4 years working in Big 4 firm is preferable
• Ability to quickly learn new things
• Good command of English 
• Good computer skills in Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset
• Good inter-personal skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
• Good multitask management skills
• Good time management
• Proven use and analysis of financial information to support business decisions.
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
• Ability to collaborate across business partners
• Ability to think out of the box to continuously improve status quo
• Sensitivity in dealing with confidential information
