Plant Financial Controller

A newly created Plant Financial Controller job is now available at an European and global electronic equipment manufacturing business, based in district 9, Ho Chi Minh city.

About the Plant Financial Controller position

Reporting to the Global Controller in Europe and dotted line to the General Manager of Vietnam you will be responsible for all of Vietnam's manufacturing finance and controlling. You will also report directly to the Finance Director and dotted line to the Plant Manager and will interface on a frequent basis with operations, materials, quality, plant engineering departments; and also interface on an as needed basis with Human Resources, IT and Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive and develop progressive financial systems and processes that will aid and influence sound business decisions
• Provide input into quoting and business development activities (ex. pricing, program management, plant capacity, etc.)
• Provide support to the development of plant's strategic business plan along with identifying key measurable to support the plant business goals
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
• Responsible for the development of the plant annual budget and monthly, forecasting, cost analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
• Responsible for completion of detailed account and variance analysis
• Responsible for fixed asset and tooling project tracking, inventory reconciliation and engineering change quotes and completion of detailed account and variance analysis

To succeed in this position you will need to have previously held the position of Plant Controller, or similar, for at least five years, this will need to have been within a multi-national business and a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment.

Key Requirements:

• Open to both expats and Vietnamese nationals
• If expat, must be able to commit to at least two years in Vietnam. Experience of working in Vietnam already is a very big advantage
• Strong experience of working interfacing with operations, materials, quality, plant engineering departments, also HR, IT and maintenance
• Need to be super pro-active, energetic and full of drive
