Head of Government Affairs Singapore

Get to know the role:

• Lead strategy implementation on public affairs - Work with the local country team and business verticals to provide public affairs analyses, assessments and plans, and help develop strategic action plans and initiatives to achieve our social mission.
• Help establish and manage strategic government relations & partnerships - Establish key partnerships with relevant governments stakeholders, serve as our team support and liaison with government stakeholders and represent our team at key government meetings and events to help the team achieve its goals.
• Manage key partnerships with community stakeholders in public and private sector - Establish key partnerships with public sector organizations and the private sector to help the organization achieve strategic goals as well as its social mission.
• Collaborate with the internal team to plan, launch, execute and/or evaluate key stakeholder and social good initiatives and/or campaigns that will help us achieve our goals.
• Communicate via social media and PR - Collaborate with internal PR and Marketing team to help in the development of relevant, strategic PR campaigns & communications on public affairs.

The must haves:

• At least ten (10) years of experience in public and/or government affairs in Singapore, leading teams, strategic advisory & planning, and partnership and project management; Experience working with government, startups or social enterprises is highly preferred.
• A sharp business communicator, resourceful and hungry for learning about issues, current events, motivations and persuasions of people in the public sphere.
• Possess strong stakeholder and crisis management skills.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking ability, with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Have strong self-started and proactive attitude, with a resourceful, innovative and flexible approach to problem-solving and working through constraints.
• Must be comfortable working under pressure and can execute in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player, with a “your problem is my problem” attitude
