Financial Analyst

• Provide expert financial advice and analytical support for the establishment and management of complex, strategic contracts.
• Conduct detailed supply market research and analysis to identify facts, issues, trends and key indicators and then communicate key findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Apply risk management techniques to ensure that financial risk is appropriately managed.
• Provide specialist technical advice and support to management and staff on complex matters in accordance with established government policies and procedures, legislative requirements and audit regulations.
• Ensure that the highest possible professional standards are maintained in relation to confidentiality, probity and ethical conduct.

• Demonstrated high level analytical and research skills, including the ability to analyse complex problems, identify issues, think laterally and apply analytical, qualitative and research techniques to develop appropriate strategies.
• Proven high level written and verbal communication skills, including the development of reports and complex documents.
• Experience in liaising effectively and working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, to facilitate cooperation and support in achieving outcomes and establishing and maintaining strong effective working relationships.
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in fields such as accounting, commerce, business, economics or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in the same position.
