Tasks:

ABB Vietnam is seeking Business Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager who would be responsible to support local divisional managers for their HSE and ensure effective risk management through HSE excellence along ABB’s value chain. Based at Hanoi and Bac Ninh, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:


• Facilitates HSE risks assessment by line management involving relevant employees to control the risks.
• Implement policies, legal and other requirements and assist line managers and supervisors to understand obligations and liabilities as per the HSE law.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders to report, raise awareness and gain commitment of HSE efforts.
• Ensure regular communication to employees and relevant stakeholders on HSE matters and updates.
• Sets up relevant HSE systems within the divisions including reporting and monitoring systems, and ensures they are maintained accordingly.
• Provides advice, support, and conducts necessary HSE trainings to raise awareness, develop HSE awareness and competence.
• Ensure the records and documents are maintained properly.
• Update the performance and progress on ABB sustainability objectives and key performance.
• Participate/Lead incident investigation to address the causes and ensure the necessary steps are taken to correct the same and update the system.
• Monitor and audit the effectiveness of HSE plan, program and propose necessary actions to upgrade.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should hold a university degree in Health, Safety and Environment with strong background and minimum 5 years of experience in HSE management field. You should also have strong knowledge of HSE in manufacturing, project and service and the role a safety system plays in managing the overall risk profile of the organization. The role will suit someone with ability to work and effectively influence at various levels, work with different nationalities, cultures and strong command over problem solving and analytics with good English communication.
