Grab began as a taxi-hailing app in 2012, but has extended its product platform to include private car services (GrabCar), motorcycle taxis (GrabBike), social carpooling (GrabHitch) and last mile delivery (GrabExpress). Grab is focused on pioneering new commuting alternatives and for drivers and passengers with an emphasis on speed, safety and reliability. The Company currently offers services in Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia.

GrabPay is a wholly owned subsidiary of Grab with operations spanning across South East Asia countries that Grab is in. Our aim is to make GrabPay the default mobile payment wallet in the region, serving Grab users, drivers & merchant partners by having high quality payment product lines and satisfying our customer with outstanding service quality. Through the GrabPay platform, we seek to help unbanked mobile first users and merchants to build opportunities for themselves, while delivering trusted & safe payment systems to Southeast Asia.

The Technical Sales Manager / Assistant Manager in Grab Financial Group's Business Development team is responsible for:

  • Being the Person in-charge for regional merchant on-boarding that require technical integration between Grab and partner
  • Helping Grab Financial's local team to address merchant questions during the pre-sales phase
  • Working closely with top SEA merchants, and interact with C-level technical executives and head of engineering of merchant partners
  • Creating initial frameworks for merchant partners and advocate Grab Financial's API specifications during the post sales period
  • Fluently sharing payment flow and user experience
  • Guiding partners on lost prevention, settlements, chargeback & fraud, and business operations
  • Answering any of merchant partner's queries and coming up with relevant solutions to merchant's setup
  • Managing projects and making sure there's a pipeline of partners being on-boarded every quarter

Requirements

  • At least 3 - 6 years of experience in IT consulting
  • Ability to consult merchants and articulate our APIs, flows and documentations in a clear and concise manner
  • Having pre-sales or technical experience within payments industry
  • Ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Computer engineering and MBA
  • Prior work experience in South East Asia markets is preferred
  • Spending 30 - 50% of the time travelling across SEA to meet merchants
  • Ideal candidate will be Intuitive, resourceful and enjoy having autonomy
  • Great at solving complex issues
