Get to know the Role:
As DPMS (Demand Planning & Marketing Strategy) & Economics Lead you will be our expert in using data to measure and analyze business performance in each our markets and lines of business.
Explore business issues/opportunities, uncover insights, and/or identify targeted areas for business growth
Applying expertise to drive high impact initiatives for demand operations and budget cost efficiency in-country from overall strategy, ideation (e.g., optimizing targeted promos & developing innovative demand approaches, incentive optimization ), experimentation & ensuring successful implementation in-country.
The day-to-day activities:
Monitor key metrics and alert the business on potential issues.
Applying and explaining microeconomic theories, using first-principles thinking.
Analyse operational efficiency and build business models to guide decision-making.
Support the Management Leader on overall demand generation operations & promo strategy within the given budget.
Provide oversight for in-country Marketing teams on demand generation initiatives.
Allocate budget appropriately for user acquisition & retention, based on market insights/competitive landscape.
Provide inputs to technical/product team on demand generation advancement.
Design market/business intelligence reports and performance measurement dashboards.
Partner with management and operational teams to deep dive on core issues and use our data to find answers.
Quality assuring the analysis of a team using big data techniques.
Using your analysis to persuade business decision makers to implement your idea.
Respectfully challenging the status quo and intuitions of business stakeholders including the regional heads and the country heads.
Building strong relationships with Grab Leadership and using those relationships to enact change.
Making strategic bets - evidence-based gambles that could prove to be game changers for Grab’s drivers and passengers.
Being responsible for decisions and advice on multi-million dollar budgets.
Support the optimization of overall user funnel (from awareness to loyalty).
Provide inputs to technical/product team on demand generation advancement.
Coordinate cross-functional experiments to generate insights in-line with business objectives.
Articulate insights to various key stakeholders, along with recommended actions
The must haves:
A Bachelor's/Masters degree, preferably in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematic, Economics or Engineering
Min 7 years of relevant work experience in management/strategic consulting, telco (product/vertical management), marketing, booking apps, online payments/e-wallets, F&B/food/QSR, eCommerce and/or start-ups.
Willing to be based in Bali
Strong foundation in data query/manipulation using SQL and data visualisation using tools like Tableau.
Ability to consistently perform comfortably under pressure in a dynamic, ultra-fast-paced environment.
Quantitative discipline with strong business sense and ability to articulate complex analyses results to a wide range of audiences, and translate these to actionable business insights. Primarily driven by quantitative outcome for all decision making.
Detail oriented. Experience in analysing & quantifying complex strategic issues tied to long-term business growth.
Effective communicator to both technical and business audiences
Experience in project managing complex, cross-functional projects.
Confident in processing and analysing complex data sets using Excel. Working understanding of SQL and experience with a mobile CLM platform is desirable.
Language proficiency in English and Bahasa will be highly preferred.
