Strategic Projects Manager / Assistant Manager

Get to know our Team:

• The Strategic Projects team is part of the Singapore Strategy & Projects team
• The Strategic Projects team plans & executes top of agenda, high impact business projects in Singapore, spanning across all business lines (e.g. GrabPay, GrabFood, GrabCar)
• This team is also responsible for working with strategic partners to launch and grow new services within the Grab App leveraging our GrabPlatform technology

Get to know the Role:

• Lead planning & execution of high impact strategic projects (e.g. launch new business initiative)
• Opportunity to be involved in managing the overall performance and P&L of GrabPlatform categories in Singapore
• Direct contact with senior executives in the organization
• Minimal travel required (<5%)

The day-to-day activities:

• Lead actual execution of a high impact initiative, which could include hands-on involvement in operations
• Support business teams in planning & analysis of high impact initiatives: e.g. providing a fact base, structuring and helping with issue identification and solutioning, advising on the practicalities of implementation
• Drive strategic priorities for GrabPlatform Partners in Singapore. Work with various teams including Marketing, Business Development, Product and Engineering to execute on GrabPlatform partnerships with strong emphasis on outserving our customers
• Be a sounding board for the strategic initiatives and decisions of senior management staff
• For Manager role: Mentor and guide junior members of the team

The must haves:

• Strong academic track record
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve & think strategically
• Experience with hands-on engagement, strong interpersonal / influencing skills
• Convincing executive presence, solid spoken and written communication skills
• Highly adaptable across situations / topics / industries
• For Manager role: Experience in managing and guiding a project team

The good to haves:

• Experience in engaging across Asian markets and cultures
• Prior experience in entrepreneurship
• Prior experience in P&L management / category management / brand management
• For Assistant Manager role: At least 3 years’ experience in strategy / management consultancy firm or roles with P&L / Category management responsibilities
• For Manager role: At least 4-5 years’ experience in strategy / management consultancy firm or roles with P&L / Category management responsibilities
