Shift Leader

1. Production & Operations Management

• Lead daily operations in assembly areas, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, utilization, and employee performance.

• Conduct daily shift meetings to address SHE/ESG, production, quality, and potential risks.

• Collaborate across shifts for seamless communication and operations.

• Manage production data (input/output, quality, workforce, tools), ensure schedule adherence, and escalate issues when needed.

• Monitor yield and scrap rates, implement corrective and preventive actions.

2. Team Management & Development

• Supervise Operators, Team Leaders, Water Spiders, DLS.

• Drive team development, flexibility, competence, and maintain a cooperative work environment.

• Set KPIs and conduct annual performance reviews and individual development plans (IDPs).

• Train, coach, and motivate staff; support onboarding and ongoing skill development.

3. Continuous Improvement (CI)

• Maintain and audit 5S standards; report non-conformities and support audit closures.

• Lead and support Kaizen and CI initiatives to improve product, process, and work environment.

• Share best practices across teams.

4. Systems & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with MES, identify root causes of abnormal data, and implement corrective actions.

• Conduct shift meetings, provide training, and support BI reporting and audits.

5. Talent Management

• Forecast and propose recruitment needs to meet business demand.

• Conduct exit interviews and build talent pools (e.g., Line Assistants, Water Spiders).

6. Learning & Development

• Deliver technical training and mentoring (Buddy role).

• Promote company culture and encourage participation in internal events.

• Share lessons learned and good practices.

7. Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) & ESG

• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, 45001, and company safety regulations.

• Conduct safety audits, promote a safe working environment, and report incidents or near misses.

• Monitor working time compliance (e.g., 12-hour breaks, overtime limits).

• Engage in ESG initiatives and promote team involvement.

8. Project Support

• Support production-related projects (e.g., training, ramp-up plans).

• Collect and analyze data as assigned by superiors.

1. Education: College degree

2. Professional Knowledge

• Required:

  • Proven experience as a Shift Leader

  • Capable of managing people, machines, materials during a working shift

  • Able to lead a shift with approximately 50 employees, including Team Leaders, Water Spiders, and Direct Labor staff

• Preferable:

  • Demonstrated competence in a previous leadership role

  • Knowledge of assembly manufacturing processes

  • Experience handling complex situations (e.g., steep ramp-up plans)

  • Exposure to at least 2 production lines or equivalent

  • Good command of Lean and Production tools

  • Ability to lead and complete small improvement initiatives (e.g., personal sharing sessions)

  • Familiarity with Lean tools: 5S, Kaizen, JIT, Poka-yoke, Gemba, Heijunka, Kanban, OEE, PDCA, SMED, VSM

  • Familiarity with Production tools: Line Balancing, TMS, PMP

3. Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Solid understanding of ERP and MES systems; able to apply them in daily operations

4. Language Skills: Basic communication skills in English

5. Professional Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience
