The quality assurance and automation teams are responsible for tracking the missing, hunting down the broken, and resolving all issues to help give the best experience for all who uses our elegant passenger and driver applications.
The day-to-day activities:
- Design, end to end concurrency and regression test suites for new projects and existing systems.
- Responsible for test and release of a piece of functionality with the best quality possible.
- Collaborate with the project teams in the design and creation of test automation plans.
- Research, design, and implement automated test procedures, review automation approach and guide other team members in their automation design.
- Build creative test plans, employ useful technologies, meet deadlines, and fulfill goals and requirements.
- Design, build and execute automated regression test packages using scripts, high level languages, and automation test tools for both existing systems and newly implemented projects.
- Design and review test transcripts like test cases, automation scripts, bugs, etc from junior engineers.
- Testing should be performed in collaboration with the scrum team by applying the right and adept testing techniques, tools and communication skills.
- Accommodate quick/smart testing hacks.
The must haves (technical requirements)
- Understand the product/feature in-depth and also the underlying technicality.
- Able to read and understand documents: Product understanding by consuming requirement documents (PRD, TRD, Invision, etc)
- Manual testing of mobile and web apps, Bug reporting, Test case design
- API testing using postman, soapUI, relevant tools
- Understanding of database concepts and queries (Mysql, PostgreSQL, etc)
- Understanding or Experience in scripting or any programming language like python, java, etc
- Experience in Selenium, Appium or any relevant test automation tools
- Understanding of test automation frameworks like robot framework, testNG, jUnit, etc is a plus
- Understanding or experience in running load tests using any open source tools like jmeter
- Knowledge of Web server, Tracing and Monitoring tools like AWS cloud watch, data dog, etc are good to have Soft skills requirements: Excellent communication skills - very good at inter and intra-team communication
