The Grab Rentals (GR) Ops Accident Management team (Strategy & Adjustment) is a dynamic and evolving team that drives Grab Rentals. We are responsible for actively reviewing accident claim cost submitted by insurance companies. We protect Grab's interest by ensuring no fraudulent or unjustified claims are filed.
Get to know the Role:
As a Senior Operations Associate at Grab Rentals, you will be responsible for the management of accident claims and related processes. Your responsibilities involve submitting of claims in line with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Also, you maintain GR's loss ratio and aim to maximize savings for accident claims.
The day-to-day activities:
- You liaise with external stakeholders (e.g. panel workshops, insurance companies) on cost adjustments and other technical issues
- You provide solutions for all accident claims and queries.
- You handle cost review for mutual settlement cases.
- You pro-actively review and provide updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with the market and industry changes.
- You collaborate across several partners, including insurance officers, service advisors and motor surveyors, to support smooth transition of vehicles between hirers and ensuring accident reporting and repair works are carried out in time.
- You manage customer expectations regarding their vehicle conditions with minimal disputes.
- You aim to provide a maximum cost savings while maintaining excellent customer service and process transparency.
The skills:
- You have, preferably, at least 3 years of experience in the automoive or insurance industry or similar and have a minimum of one-year relevant experience in managing automotive claims.
- You are a self-motivated individual who can get things done in time.
- You are hands-on as needed and proactively assume responsibilities.
- You can work independently and effectively in a complex, changing, and ambiguous environment.
- You can initiate and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
- You have proficient knowledge of MS Office, vehicle technical expertise and can conduct a damage cost analysis.
- Knowledge with Audatex system would be added advantage
