You will be responsible for planning and formulating the country marketing plan, as well as budget management and target tracking. You will be accountable for demand generation across all Grab verticals and will have to work closely with business leads for alignment on marketing. A successful applicant will take on a leadership role and manage a cross-functional team of marketers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and planning: Responsible in designing marketing strategies independently that includes market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans in the manner that supports consistent business growth and enhance brand equity.

  • Grow Grab passengers: Drive the growth of Grab passengers across all our verticals through disruptive and effective marketing efforts, be hyper-local and relevant in the way we revolutionize the transportation industry in Myanmar

  • Grow Grab drivers: Build a healthy and strong driver supply growth through both driver acquisition and retention programs.

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns: Work with the digital marketing team (regional and local) to develop innovative, creative campaigns (on PPC, social media and mobile channels) and maximize optimization of these channels via analytics.

  • Build brand love for Grab: Work closely with the regional brand marketing team to make the brand’s positioning, value proposition and messaging are relevant for Burmese across all consumer touch points.

  • Shape social media/ public relations: Work with the regional Communications team to handle media requests, social media marketing and CSR campaigns on the ground. Proactively manage relationships with the media to create positive publicity for the business and engage the public to support Grab.

  • Inspire and lead a team: Provide leadership guidance to a team to deliver exceptionally high-quality marketing. Guide each team member through their personal growth, skills development and career progression with Grab

  • Manage country marketing budget and business targets: Manage Myanmar’s marketing budget and own quarterly KPIs for both campaigns and business results

  • Maintain strong agency relationships: Identify and engage trustworthy external vendors that are committed to delivering high-quality work for creative, PR, media buying, events, and merchandise etc. for Grab.

Our ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor degree preferably with a focus on Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations and/or Business Administration

  • At least 8-10 years of relevant marketing experience, both on strategic planning and execution. Strong preference for experience with Internet, mobile and/or digital products.

  • Familiar with the entire marketing mix – you have a good knowledge of how and when to leverage different marketing channels from above-the-line to direct response and brand activation

  • Excellent knowledge of the Myanmar market, deep understanding of consumer insights and media landscape.

  • Results oriented and data-driven: Ability to make data-informed decisions for a marketing plan. Proven track record of success in achieving targets on time in a rapid growth, start-up environment.

  • Relentlessly driven and seeks challenges: Willingness to drive growth and able to embrace and tackle challenges

  • A natural leader who has the ability to motivate and coach a team of diverse team members with different experience levels and skill sets

  • Resourceful and creative: Knack for identifying great marketing creative. You work well with creative people, knowing how they need to be briefed and managed in order to deliver the most impactful creative work.

  • Fluent in both written and spoken: Burmese and English.

  • Highly detail-oriented: Ensure the quality of all marketing materials and

    communications, and manage a budget
