Senior Manager, Risk Operations

Get to know the Role:

• Lead and coach a team of specialists handling Grab Financial risk and compliance operations for SEA.

• Drive hiring, organisational alignment, quality and process improvement as a world-class operations structure.

• Plan and execute tactical roadmaps such as resource planning and organisation of shifts.

• Instil a strong quality, continual improvement and openness to change mindset.

• Act as a risk operations subject matter expert towards other company functions such as marketing, product and business planning / development.

• Identify and plan initiatives to support current and future customer needs in an efficient, high quality and cost-effective manner.

• Lead all reporting, monitoring and forensic efforts, ensure all metrics are available, closely followed, and adequately communicated to senior management.

• Ensure risk losses are adequately managed and SLAs are met, as a result of expert and smooth operations.

• Ensure risk operation tooling needs are well known, documented and shared with relevant tech functions within the company.

• Keep abreast of industry and regulatory trends and prepare the risk operations team to respond effectively to the changing business environment.

The must haves:

• Problem-solving, positive and constructive attitude is a must.

• Proven and recognised experience in leading large risk / compliance operation teams in financial institutions.

• Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and operating in a fast-growing environment.

• Knowledge of e-payments, credit card and banking processes and associated risks.

• Knowledge of central bank compliance rules and credit card scheme rules.

• Proficiency in e-wallet / online payments abuse (account take-over, credit card fraud, merchant/buyer collusion fraud, money laundering...).

• Gifted with numbers, sound experience in managing operational reporting and metrics.

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and at least one local SEA language.
