Get to know our Team:

Grab Financial Group is an organization within Grab responsible for all of Grab’s fintech ambitions to drive the region forward by making all kinds of financial services accessible to as many Southeast Asians as possible. A major part of this is our insurance business, providing all kinds of insurance to our consumers, drivers and SMEs across the region, in order to improve the experience they have with Grab by protecting and safeguarding their transactions, their mobility and their livelihoods.

Get to know the Role:

This senior marketing leader is responsible for all marketing for insurance across the region, focused on drivers, consumers and SMEs. They will drive the regional marketing strategy, planning and rollout across the region in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand. They will lead a team of regional marketers focused on the insurance business unit and provide guidance, structure and best practices for country marketing teams to succeed on the ground in a competitive landscape.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Work closely with the insurance business heads to bring clarity to both the business strategy and how marketing can help reach their objectives.

  • Develop data-driven marketing strategies to achieve key business results, driving revenue growth for the lending business.

  • Be a strong consumer advocate within insurance, ensuring everything we do is customer-centric.

  • Work with product to develop an overall better customer experience across the Grab platform through insurance.

  • Configure a productised and digitised consumer and comms flow to seamlessly convert users onto our insurance platform.

  • Work in partnership with brand marketing teams to develop brand positioning and value proposition for the GrabInsure brand.

  • Create quarterly planning decks, best practices guidelines and case studies to educate local country marketing teams.

  • Work with strategy and FP&A teams to create data-driven targets and budgets, ensuring marketing efficiency measures meet agreed benchmarks.


The must haves:

We are looking for a senior marketing leader who is passionate about having an irreversible impact on the way Southeast Asian businesses and micro-entrepreneurs.

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior marketing roles, preferably with a background in financial services, consumer internet / e-commerce, CRM or consulting.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier international university, MBA a major plus.

  • Strong integrated marketing leader comfortable with the entire marketing mix, but with particular pedigree in e-commerce marketing practices and/or CRM.

  • Demonstrated track record of driving stellar commercial growth through innovative and creative forms of marketing

  • Passion for how technology can transform the insurance landscape; experience working in an insurtech group a major plus.

  • Experience managing teams in both solid and dotted line; knows how to be an effective regional marketing leader in service to country marketing teams.

  • Natural leader who has the ability to motivate and coach a team of diverse backgrounds and skillsets.

  • Must be a strong cultural fit with Grab – passionate about the social mission, people-oriented in their management approach.

  • Must be able to develop a strong creative vision for the brand as a game-changing disruptor in the insurance sector.

  • Start-up experience is a major plus; eagerness to operate in an ever-changing, dynamic, highly competitive and fast-paced environment is a must.

  • Broad knowledge of marketing landscape in Southeast Asia, including media channels, agencies, consumer behavioural trends and the like.
