Get to know the role:

Your primary responsibilities will revolve around GrabPay merchant partners, building and developing relationships through strategic profitability initiatives that will ensure their continued success on the platform.

  • Acquisition: Helping build GrabPay’s book of business by acquiring strategic merchants within the area or region. Handle the entire range of sales & acquisition activities from prospecting, sales presentations, product demonstrations to closing of contracts.

  • Relationships management: Continuously engage our partner merchants, listen to their feedback and stay in close communication with them to ensure long term and fruitful relationship.

  • Drive growth: Identifying opportunities and build sales initiatives to support the growth of partner merchants. Develop compelling campaigns by leveraging co-marketing partnership to bring more value to our target customers, which will also drive more value back to our merchant partners.

  • Business development: Providing market intelligence and insights with regard to industry trends, reasons for wins and losses, state of the competitive marketplace, product development needs, and merchant perceptions of GrabPay. Develop and maintain a solid understanding of all products and services GrabPay offers.

  • Cross collaboration: Working with our product, operations, marketing and other cross functional teams to ensure that partner merchants have the best possible experience. Align with the business overall sales strategy and develop medium to long term strategic plans and tactics for the area or region to achieve targets.


The must haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Mature profile with at least 4-5 years experience in a related role

  • Excellent in partner and merchant negotiations, problem solving, analytical abilities, sales consulting, pipeline management and forecasting

  • Experience in driving and implementing sales strategy

  • Experience in building long term key account planning and relationships

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Experience in fast paced sectors such as consulting, technology, digital media, fintech, payment or telco is a plus

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Ability to collaborate and work with highly effective cross-functional teams, and to meet critical deadlines
