Safety Executive

Get to know our Team:

• Safety executive supports the country safety team in administrative matters &/ special project related to all safety in his/her country to ensure efficient operation of the team.
• Requires abilities to process established safety SOP/ project requirements quickly, work independently on supporting administrative tasks and to draft quality emails/ presentations as needed.
• He/she will also help to track safety feedback/ratings and generate safety metrics to provide the country management with insights.

Get to know the Role:

• Handles all safety-related matters in the country. This means working in cross-functional teams and with external partners on projects, business processes, policies and product features affecting safety.
• You will also help track safety metrics and hence support the country management with safety insights and advisory.
• Lastly, you may represent Grab during safety campaigns/events; and be deployed as liaison officer dealing with media/ regulators/ injured parties during incident management.

The day-to-day activities:

• Functional - Compiles occurrences of serious incidents, crises and accidents:
• - To report every safety cases accurately and in a timely manner [P1P2]
• - Reports incident trends and metrics for management review
• - To reply to Zendesk ticket (safety) as and when required
• Carry out admin work as required by local workplace safety regulations, e.g. procurement of emergency equipment and drafting of emergency response plans
• Support Safety on special projects, e.g. procurement and administrative work for driver events and trainings [may be on weekends]
• Supports country safety in businesses with following quality assurance initiatives:
• - Monitoring of drivers below minimum star ratings [compilation of report]
• - Monitoring of pax feedback on drivers with safety risk flags [holistics report]
• Assists in country safety/quality accreditation premising on industry best practices and recommendations from certification bodies, e.g. ISO corrective actions
• Customer - Supports country marketing efforts to increase safety perception of brand:
• - May need to generate write-ups of safety initiatives and events for media coverage
• - May need to help out in safety campaigns/events with country marketing team
• Financial - Helps with quotation reviews and drafts purchase requirements
• Helps with delivery orders and quality control

The must haves:

• Good “A” level or equivalent records, undergraduate or diploma holder

• Displays excellent flexibility, problem solving, meticulous and interpersonal skills

• Overall experience 1-3 years
