Get to know the Role:
Grab’s Platform Safety and Quality team support the organization across multiple geographies and business units. We plan, execute and enforce policies and standards to keep improving the safety of our customers. We are responsible for improving all safety-related aspects of the platform, through continual development and innovation on the technologies, products, policies and business processes. We also help influence the overall strategic direction of the company by supporting the top management with safety insights
If being constantly on the move and problem solving excite you, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will work on multi-dimensional projects, with our regional teams, and external partners to tackle real-time issues
Steer leadership and management teams along with the organization’s safety and quality mission and principles
Develop and implement a strategy to steer Grab’s Product Roadmap for Safety and quality
Required to stay most of the time in Malaysia
The day-to-day activities:

Understand the respective country’s business objectives and assist the country safety managers to provide safety advisory and solutioning
Work with the regional team to identify safety features for implementation on the app
Actively monitor the safety KPIs within the region and develop early preventive measures
Keep a tab on relevant industry developments to bring in cutting edge technology in terms of safety products
Be a passionate advocate for road safety for both users and drivers
Augment the individual country safety teams in dealing with national regulatory bodies for high-profile cases and issues
The must-haves:
Minimally bachelor's degree - 6+ years of experience
An analytical mindset with the ability to present and execute on actionable findings
Critically understand quantitative and qualitative patterns that are associated with safety trends
The strategic mindset in thinking about the bigger picture and how we can improve as a company
Proven conflict resolution skills
Knowledgeable in ISO 9001 is advantageous
Possess excellent problem solving/decision making, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong judgment and moral compass;
Executive presence to be able to influence leaders across the organization
An ability to work cross-functionally, independently or virtually in a minimally structured and fast-paced environment
Self-motivated to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines
Passion to ensure a safe ride experience for all our passengers and drivers
Proficiency in productivity tools (email, calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Solid spoken and written communication skills
Proficiency with Tableau is a plus
Product management experience would be a big plus
Experience in engaging across Asian markets and cultures
Start-up experience a plus
Stay current on industry and governmental regulations and development
