As we expand into new territories and more people rely on us across Southeast Asia each day, we are looking for a competent Regional Policy Strategy Manager to join our Trust, Identity & Safety (TIS) Team to help us combat the ever new and complex problems that we faced as the bad guys get more sophisticated.
Get to know the Role
As a Regional Policy Strategy Manager, you are at the forefront of defining the black, white, and grey areas of behavioral trends, with your decisions affecting the very fundamentals of how we act and enforce terms of services for all our users.
What you’ll get to do
Conceive, launch, and deliver regional strategic policy projects.
Lead teams and work with cross-functional partners in Marketing / Business Development / Legal / Country Verticals to communicate changes and gather feedback and insights to build better policy guidelines for Grab.
Use data insights and drive development of metrics to make informed policy changes and implement strategy projects.
Review and make decisions on grey cases of user (passengers / drivers / merchants). behaviors and e-commerce/ payment trends.
Provide support for high touch escalation reviews / investigations.
Travel within SEA.
The must haves
Minimum work experience of 8 years, preferably in strategy consulting, change delivery management, analytics, or operations.
Good understanding of the fraud space with hands-on knowledge of fraud, payments/e- commerce, risk policy development, or risk enforcement work.
Fair amount of experience in data analysis (using Excel or SQL) and dashboard building (using Tableau).
Experience driving decisions based on principled, rational guidelines; Comfortable with grey-area challenges and outcomes.
Strong track record of exercising sound judgment in the absence of direction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and efficient time manager who is able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
Stakeholder management experience, especially with senior executives.
Must have led individuals in the capacity of a reporting people manager.
(Really) Nice-to-haves
Experience in credit/debit card payment or e-commerce / fintech industry.
Good knowledge of online identity in the absence of physical verification, payment risks, compliance and AML.
A working understanding of Southeast Asian markets.
