Regional Policy Strategy Manager/Analyst

• As we expand into new territories and more people rely on us across Southeast Asia each day, we are looking for a competent Regional Policy & Strategy Manager/Analyst, to join our User Trust Team to help us combat the ever new and complex problems that we faced as the bad guys get more sophisticated.

Get to know the Role:

• As a Regional Policy & Strategy Manager/Analyst, you are at the forefront of defining the black, white, and grey areas of behavioral trends, with your decisions affecting the very fundamentals of how we act and enforce terms of services for all our users.

The day-to-day activities:

• Conceive, launch, and deliver strategic policy projects to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve accuracies within User Trust
• Work with cross-functional partners in Marketing / Business Development / Country Verticals to communicate changes and gather feedback and insights to build better policy guidelines for Grab
• Use and analyse Grab's data to make informed policy changes within User Trust

• Drive the development and advancement of metrics and data visualizations (e.g. dashboards) to optimize policy processes

• Review and make decisions on grey cases of passenger/driver behaviors and e-commerce/ payment trends

• Provide support for high touch escalation reviews/investigations

• Travel within SEA

• (This position will be based either in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur office)

The must haves:

• Minimum work experience of at least 2 years in the public or private sector, preferably in strategy consulting, change delivery management, analytics, or operations. Depending on your experience, you may be considered for Analyst, Senior Analyst, or Manager role
• Good understanding of the fraud space with hands-on knowledge of fraud, payments/e- commerce and risk policy development or enforcement work
• Experience in data analysis and dashboard building, and tools such as Tableau, Excel, SQL
• Experience driving decisions based on principled, rational guidelines; Comfortable with grey-area challenges and outcomes.
• Strong track record of exercising sound judgment in the absence of direction
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong training skills
• Detail-oriented and efficient time manager who is able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment
• Stakeholder management experience, especially with senior executives
• Experience in credit/debit card payment or e-commerce/ fintech industry,
• Good knowledge of online identity in the absence of physical verification, payment risks, compliance and AML
• A working understanding of SEA markets
