Get to know the Role:
This role would understand the full spectrum of the FP&A business support and processes and be able to recommend steps in providing strategic and operational support while driving process and operational improvements to the wider FP&A team.
The role is expected to bring alignment within FP&A on processes, KPIs, performance measurement and reporting, through a strong understanding of FP&A best practises.
Role should be a hands-on leader able to drive adoption post review and understanding of re-engineering requirements, drive adoption and alignment/centralisation in driving FP&A efficiencies and effectiveness.
Role needs to demonstrate ability to work independently in a start-up environment and can engage both strategic and operational business partners in driving change.
The day-to-day activities:
Functional (Process /Technical/Operational)
- The role overseas strategic and special projects, working closely with the heads within FP&A as well as the wider Grab community towards goal attainments.
- Responsible to engage various outsource parties on initials and improvement projects, representing FP&A on PMOs as well as consultative engagements on a regular or project basis
- Demonstrate an acute sense of business acumen, bringing both technological and business sense ensuring alignments within and external to FP&A.
- Maintain and ensure overall company objectives are aligned within FP&A, with clear and concise directional support to the various functional teams.
- Be a business partner to the FP&A team as well as external business partners as required based on engagements.
- Work closely within the wider FP&A teams in ensuring operational requirements are in place to support new company initiatives.
- Take on other areas or initiatives as required.
Customer
- Able to deal with multiple stakeholders (include EXCO/Board levels) across all management levels.
Financial
- Able to identify key business drivers and provide insightful analysis to help the business to grow top line revenues and manage costs.
People
- Lead and manage the set up and expansion of the centre
- Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment with high performing teams.
The must haves:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualifications ACCA/CPA/CA.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel skills in building complex financial models and exposure to ERP/Accounting systems.
- Experience with using various financial systems.
Specific experience
- Possess strong combination of business/operational acumen and translating plans into financial projections/models.
- Financial mind-set and able to translate business queries into financial analysis.
- Preferably with experience in fast paced industries
- More than 12 years of experience in financial/business analysis and supporting business teams.
Overall experience
- Control mindset, process driven and responsible to drive projects to completion.
- Hand-on leader with the ability to motivate and drive adoption of new ideas / initiatives
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Strong integrity and not afraid to raise concerns or highlight opportunities.
