About the Role:

  • Serve as a key member of the Grab Business Development team to drive overall strategy.
  • Own all geo partnership relationships.
  • Take the lead to manage all geo partnership roadmaps end-to-end: Drive projects/deals from closure to execution and maintain key relationships at senior levels of large corporate institutions.
  • Ensure effective internal stakeholder management to ensure deliver of partner related projects - Work closely with Grab Geo Business, Map Ops, Product and Engineering teams.
  • Work closely with internal teams to identify new business opportunities including monetization of geo capabilities, by developing necessary plans, business cases and go-to-market strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key member of the Grab business development team to define the current landscape, strategize and execute top business development/partnership opportunities within the Geo space.
  • Leverage Grab’s business development network and generate new leads as required to identify opportunities to improve on Grab’s overall Geo strategic priorities.
  • Actively identify prospects/partners to engage by effectively developing and communicating a clear Grab Geo value proposition to specific partner’s business and use case.
  • Execute on Grab’s top Geo priorities in SEA together with ops, marketing, product, engineering and country business development teams.
  • Continuously own the development and execution of all business development initiatives, ensuring proper planning and on time, on target execution.
  • Prepare and deliver regular business reviews to Grab management on progress, roadblocks and solutions to increase the customer adoption (users/drivers).
  • Track and analyze KPIs related to all initiatives and quickly build counter measures closely working with cross functional and cross-country teams.
  • Develop, maintain and leverage senior relationships across SE Asia.
  • Assist the Regional Head of Business Development for team budgeting, mentoring, appraisals, and team management (specific to Geo requirements).
  • Continuously develop initiatives that are customer centric (users/drivers) by representing the voice of the customer in all initiatives with the aim of improving lives.
  • Ensure all initiatives meet strategic and financial objectives of the company.
  • Support to build and maintain a high performing team with a best in class team culture.
  • Provide coaching and continuous professional development of teammates.
  • Proactively work with both country and regional business development teams to craft and share best practices, efficiently using common resources.
  • Continuously assist in the development of an arsenal of core tools and capabilities to enable all business development teams.

The Must Haves:

  • Be extremely organized, and bring a high level of attention to detail and efficiency while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Be visionary in developing strategic plans and ensure clear structuring of plans to facilitate clear communication.

  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in the maps industry.
  • Seasoned professional with experience establishing, maintaining and leveraging C-level relationships across SE Asia.
  • Demonstrate strong track record in project management, and managing internal/external stakeholders locally and regionally.
  • Proven ability to blend business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted, win-win deals.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills a must.
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively.
  • Strong code of ethics and sound business judgment required.
  • Relevant BA/BS/BEng degree.
  • MBA from a top-ranked university highly preferred.
  • Regional language proficiencies a plus (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa, Melayu, Vietnamese, Tagalog).
