Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, you will oversee and be accountable for all financial and management reporting functions in the group and work with overseas counterparts.
You need to be both strategic and hands-on engaging senior management within or outside Finance group at large. Familiar with shareholders reporting while at the same time able to manage the regional and local finance team in all month end closing activities, management reporting, consolidation and statutory requirements.
You will support the senior management level in providing insightful analysis relating to key business decisions, financial due diligence work and expansion of business.
Involved in Business modelling and ensure the roll out of new products and its correspond accounting implications are adhered to.
Lead Champion for IFRS compliance and act as pivot point for assessment for yearly new. accounting standard adoptions for the Group Companies.
Responsible for Reporting to regulators and authority, e.g. MAS, EDB, etc.
Responsible for the yearly audit and liaison with auditors.
Involved in the regular follow up of results and KPIs, as well as country annual budget process.
Responsible for Regional short term cash and cash forecast.
Responsible for sound internal control and standard financial/operating procedure.
Handle any other area or projects that may be assigned from time to time.
The must haves:
Ideally, you are a Degree qualified CA/CPA, with at least 10 to 15 years of post-graduation experience with the initial years in Big 4 / external audit firms.
Independent, planning ahead and always meeting deadlines.
Diligent and consistently delivering quality, also with high ethics and integrity.
Hands-on leader who is able to double hat as a mentor as well as business partner at the senior management level.
Ability to manage across a broad spectrum of finance responsibilities.
Highly communicative, confident and have the ability to drive and influence changes.
Thrives well in a fast-paced and high volume environment, with strong desire to set things up and demonstrates resilience in challenging situations.
Must be computer literate in excel, word and powerpoint as well as accounting software.
Fluent in English both written and spoken.
Good people manager leading a sizable team across geography and culture.
