As we expand into new territories and more people rely on us across Southeast Asia each day, we are looking for a competent Regional Engagement & Policy Education Lead to join our Trust, Identity & Safety (TIS) Team to help us combat the ever new and complex problems that we faced as the bad guys get more sophisticated.

Get to know the Role

As a Regional Engagement & Policy Education Lead, you play a pivotal role in leading industry standards, building a trusted relationship with our users, and in educating and shaping internal and public perception on TIS user policies and implementations.

What you’ll get to do

• Lead and scale the Engagement & Policy Education team.

• Create an executive engagement strategy to promote Grab’s branding around the Trust, Identity & Safety sphere for tech companies.

• Improve internal and public awareness on TIS policies and implementations through outreach & education programs, white papers, media releases, or engagements with key opinion leaders.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Legal and Public Affairs to influence best in class regulatory and market standards across Grab’s various businesses.

• Develop regional user policy education and community standards & guidelines, while taking into consideration the unique requirements of each country.

• Work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and business ops to build education contents around safety and fraud solutions and implementations.

The must-haves

• Minimum work experience of 8 years, preferably in public policy or policy enforcement in a technology company.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong stakeholder management experience, especially with senior executives, the government, and the public.

• Strong track record of exercising sound judgment in the absence of direction.

• Strategic thinker and leader who has led individuals in the capacity of a reporting people manager.

(Really) Nice-to-haves

• Master’s degree (Public Policy, Politics, International Affairs, or Law), MBA or other advanced degree.

• Working experience in international organisations, technology or fintech companies.

• Good understanding of the fraud, safety, or identity policies and implementations in technology industry.

• A working understanding of Southeast Asian markets.
