The Regional Demand Optimisation team is part of the Regional Marketplace team in Grab, whose purpose is to create a reliable, affordable and sustainable marketplace experience for all Grab's customers, across the entire Southeast Asia region. The Demand Optimisation team focuses primarily on growing demand efficiently & effectively across all of Grab’s business units. The role will cover overall strategy, ideation (e.g., optimising targeted promos & developing innovative demand approaches), product shaping and management, experimentation & ensuring successful implementation across markets.
Get to know the role:
You will be leveraging your suite of analytical and business skills to drive high impact initiatives for demand strategy across Grab’s services and markets. You will be the business owner for demand optimisation products and be responsible for their design, adoption and successful implementation across markets, while applying expertise to develop strategic insights and new demand shaping frameworks.
The day-to-day activities:
Identify efficient growth opportunities for Grab’s customers, via promotions, subscriptions, and other acquisition and retention tools, to build customer trust and encourage long-term loyalty
Leverage data to develop analytical insights, frameworks and strategies around customer segmentation and targeting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, from product to marketing and business teams, to ideate, build & constantly improve demand shaping products to drive sustainable growth across business lines and markets
Articulate insights to various key stakeholders, including senior management, to drive business decisions
Provide oversight for in-country Marketplace teams on demand generation initiatives and budget, and support them in overall demand generation & promo strategy within the given budget
The must haves:
A Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree, preferably in Economics, Analytics, Statistics, Behavioural Science, Operations Research, or a related field
Minimum 3+ years experience in business, strategy, consulting, marketing, eCommerce, tech start-ups, or related industries
Comfortable working with large datasets to derive analytical findings; experience using R, Python or other tools for statistical analysis is a strong plus
Ability to translate complex models and findings into actionable business insights and recommendations for key stakeholders across a wide variety of audiences
Ability to perform comfortably under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Experience in project managing complex, cross-functional projects
Passionate about solving problems and results-oriented to drive impactful solution in creative ways
Language proficiency in Southeast Asian languages is a bonus
