Corporate Finance team is at the centre of all of Grab’s key fund raise rounds, and strategic “game changing” M&A activities
Reports to head of legal of the Corporate Finance team
Part of a 20 plus team of lawyers across 8 SEA countries; collegiate and collaborative culture
Based in Singapore HQ
Day-to-day Activities:
Leading and managing the legal matters relating to CF team deals;
Work closely with the investment team, investee companies, investors and partners on deal related issues, regulatory and compliance issues and taking ownership of related matters and initiatives;
Driving the relationships with local and international law firms;
Supporting Grab’s General Counsel in maintaining and updating internal processes, procedures, and compliance policies
Playing an active, hands-on role in supporting the head in building and running Corporate Finance’s legal team
The must haves:
Pivotal Experience & Expertise
Working with all members of the CF team to support the fund raise ad investment strategy, goal and focus of Grab;
The successful candidate will need to have legal experience and is likely a qualified lawyer. He or she should have at least eight years of experience with strong exposure to cross-border M&A deals and venture capital or private equity transactions and investors, preferably in a senior legal and or operations role.
Other qualifications include:
Proven track record of transaction management and execution;
Good business acumen with strong problem solving and analytical skills;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adept at concise communications;
Adept negotiator, resourceful and tenacious
