The Product Development will be responsible for developing furniture products from concept to production, creating detailed technical drawings, and compiling Bills of Materials (BOM) using Autodesk Inventor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in furniture design and engineering, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing products.
Market Research and Trend Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive market research initiatives aimed at gathering data on product research, including function, selling points, and pain points, as well as customer behaviors.
Documentation and BOM
- Prepare comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOM) for all designed products.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all designs, drawings, and BOMs.
Product Creation and Development
- You’re the leader of the product development project. Product development for furniture/ gardening products.
- Build the complete specifications including all product’s description & requirement (sketch, measurement, color, material, quality standard, function …) by collaborating with QA, Creative, Sourcing, Sale, Legal, Customer Service & Suppliers.
- Delivering & explaining the specifications to suppliers for sample making then make sure samples making is on time for bulk production.
- Sample checking to match with Specification and sample validation for mass production.
- Follow up sample sending from Vendor
- Send specification to Sourcing team to launch quotation with vendor.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with stakeholders, and internal teams to validate new product concepts and gather feedback for refinement. Refine selected new product ideas into detailed concepts, outlining key features, benefits, and potential market positioning.
