Get to know our Team:

We are a small but mighty and collaborative team whose mandate is to build a forward looking and future ready people function at grab.

We are also a relatively new team that is looking to punch above its weight and create positive impacts quickly while having fun.



Get to know the Role:

The People Strategy Project Manager is an exciting new role that sits under the new PPMO, whose mandate is to ensure that projects are aligned to our people strategies and managed efficiently with increased benefits realization.

The role will focus on strategic and regional projects delivery for the People operations team or Pops (yeah, that’s how we name our HR team at Grab!). While most projects are initiated from Pops, the projects under your care will usually impact across many businesses and departments at Grab. As a result, you will often be the face of Pops and seen as a respected advisor, a friendly face with a reputation for your passion in outserving our employees.

Finally, being a senior member of the team, you will be playing an important role supporting the PPMO portfolio governance, management and reporting.


The day-to-day activities:
Rest assured your days at Grab will never be mundane, considering the growth we’ve had. As a critical member of the People Strategy team, your responsibilities will include some, if not all of the following:

  • Leading in project management of complex cross functional projects to ensure execution from initiation to completion

  • Defining the right program/project structure and provide guidance to the project team in ensuring projects committed are delivered on time and meeting customer satisfaction

  • Managing escalation and proactively engages project stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve project objectives

  • Negotiating with customers on project priorities and influencing/gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to review business requirements, develop business case, design solutions, test plans, and drive change management and training activities

  • Support the operations of the new PPMO model and its continued evolution

  • Coaching and mentoring team members on emerging People technologies, delivery methods and project best practices



The must haves:

The People Strategy Project Manager is an important role and to be successful, we are looking for someone with a pleasant personality who has:

  • at least 8 years professional experience in Project Management and/or consulting

  • the ability to balance the needs of the stakeholders (scope of work, conditions of satisfaction, success criteria), People Operations’ vision, PPMO delivery frameworks and be able to steer a path to meet the needs of all

  • experience with analyzing data sets to identify, prioritize, and address risks and opportunities; drive standardization and continuous improvement for the organization

  • demonstrated experience in supporting contractual, invoicing & commercial management and execution

  • Understanding of change management principles and has driven change management and training activities successfully

  • demonstrated ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and perform effectively under pressure independently

  • great presentation skills and ability to engage audiences

  • the ability to travel occasionally

  • knowledge of project management tools such as Wrike and JIRA (a plus!)

  • PMP certification or PMO experience is (a big plus!)
