Optimization operations is the team in charge of the overall platform reliability through data analytics and creative problem solving
Team also works in creating programs and projects that help improve passenger and driver quality
The team also gets deployed to different business critical roles to run special projects
Get to know the Role:
Ability to exercise critical and strategic thinking to solve difficult problems and optimize against various tradeoffs
Breadth of competency across various fields like data analytics, communications, and project management to conceptualize and achieve high-impact initiatives, whether short- or long-term
Comfort and skill in presenting complex subjects clearly and coherently to both colleagues and customers
Familiarity with data tools/programs such as MySQL, Excel, and Tableau Software. Experience with R or Python is a plus
The day-to-day activities:
Run reports and perform analytics on different metrics
Run mystery client initiatives to audit driver quality
Data analytics on operational processes and behavioral metrics to identify key areas for improvements that will create the most value to the user experience of the platform for both drivers and riders.
Conduct marketplace experiments, analyze data, and generate insights to be presented in a meaningful and business digestible manner.
Plan, execute, and monitor projects driven by insights from data to move these relevant metrics and improve overall platform reliability.
Collaborate with other teams and mentor more junior members of the team
Go on the ground to understand how customers (PAX and DAX) experience
Inform customers on the updated terms of use
Execute penalties and inform the drivers and riders why actions were taken
Protect the business from financial exposure by minimizing fraud
The must haves:
1-2 years of experience in related field
Good business acumen and burning curiosity about data
Quick learning agility and strong sense of ownership
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Ability to create business cases and models on special projects geared for business growth
Adept at financial forecasting, budgeting, and pricing cause-and-effect simulation
Preferably one year of experience in quality control or incident management role
Preferably one year of experience in project managementThis is a hands-on role – need to be willing to roll up sleeves
