Get to know the Role:
Your role will help develop integrated marketing strategies across the merchant lifecycle for Grabfood in Southeast Asia. Work with local teams to help drive acquisition, onboarding and growth programs while leading special projects to ensure teams leverage on our economies of scale.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Drive the marketing strategy for acquiring and growing merchants to be on GrabFood, working in partnership with Business Development and Sales as well as Country Marketing Teams.
  • Own the GrabFood Merchant Communications Strategy – both Online / Offline.
  • Devise data-driven strategies to support GrabFood growth in merchants on the GrabFood platform.
  • Provide short and long term market forecasts, reports and trends to assist business development in the acquisition and retention of merchants to GrabFood.
  • Perform industry and competitive analysis to inform sales process and help positioning and messaging.
  • Perform ongoing tracking and reporting on merchant marketing initiatives
  • Develop and execute merchant marketing plans that may include digital ads, emails, participation in conferences, events to name a few.
  • Focus on serving our merchant partners by acting as the merchant advocate within GrabFood organization – cutting across product, sales and marketing functions to develop integrated merchant programs to enable GrabFood growth.
  • Work with local marketing teams / account managers to ensure right merchant mix are included as part of any broad-based customer activation.
  • Analyze GrabFood merchant business metrics to ensure making informed marketing strategies and budget allocations.



The must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or other advertising subjects preferred.
  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience in SME/B2B marketing, merchant lifecycle marketing or similar fields.
  • Good interpersonal, communication skills and presentations skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • You operate with a growth mindset and comfortable being in a fast pace start-up environment.
  • You have experience working in SMB/B2B or F&B marketing – particularly in merchant lifecycle marketing.
  • You understand merchants and what it takes to be a good SME/Merchant marketer for marketplaces or digital platforms in Southeast Asia.
  • You are a commercially minded marketer who understands how to tie commercial objectives with marketing plans.
  • You have a proven track record from taking projects from start to finish and delivering results for all executions.
  • You are experienced in handling multiple projects, complex structures in a fast-moving pace.
  • You can think strategically with executional experience.
  • You have excellent communication skills, able to articulate clearly in both written and spoken English.
  • You have impeccable organizational skills and have a great eye for details.
  • You are data driven and love to analyse reports and communicate findings in a logical manner.
