Merchant Acquisition Senior Executive

Business strategy

• Own the business: Co-own the P&L for category(ies), analyse data and trends to understand where opportunities are and create a viable business to service them
• Drive business growth: Convert strategies into action to ensure sales and margin objectives are attained.
• Know the customer: Deeply understand customer behaviour, develop new customer insights
• Know the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.
• Know the competition: Understand on-line and off-line players. Ensure Kudo selection and offers stays best in class and in sync with Kudo Strategy.

Merchant Acquisition & Management

• Chalk out merchant acquisition strategy in line with business strategy to get the best possible selection & merchants onboarded
• Acquire merchants by fully owning the process right from lead generation, qualification, to negotiation, and onboarding
• Develop deep and long standing relationship with the merchants - to drive relationships from the strategic to the tactical
• Make merchants partners in driving disruptive changes for the category(ies)
• Manage promotions along with brands - make brands partners in customer communication
• Ensure high-share of mind from the mer chant. Build deep ties.
• Own the terms of business with the merchants - products, returns, ordering, etc.
• Liaise between Kudo operations team and merchants when required
