Grab’s lending business (GFSA – Grab Financial Services Asia) is a recent addition to Grab’s array of product and service offerings focused on extension of Micro credits to drivers, agents and merchants in Grab’s ecosystem. GFSA team is a combination of strong talent pool in its Regional Hub (Singapore) and deep local market operators across its focus markets. We are incredibly excited about the opportunity ahead of us. We are looking to put together the best possible combination of business build drive, industry expertise and local market depth as part of our team. GFSA team is responsible for end to end conceptualization, design, development, execution and ongoing management of all lending activities in its focus markets and segments.

Get to know the Role:

• Design and help build the overall architecture for Lending, including various key components across Origination, Credit Risk, Payments and Data

• Liaise with the business and Product teams in working on key business and third party integrations

• Coordinate with shared services across Grab, including Information Security, Compliance and Risk engineering in defining and implementing the appropriate security and risk policies relevant for Lending

• Work with external partners, from banks to software houses to non-traditional data analytics companies in architecting the next generation of a zero-human touch loan management systems

• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the Lending and payments related solution architect community, as well as across Grab and other similar players across the globe

• Manage multiple, simultaneous projects across various Lending streams and provide a unified view on status to the senior management

• Represent Grab’s engineering at various FinTech events and conferences and be able to discuss and promote Grab’s work in relevant Lending areas

The must haves:

• At least 8 years of relevant software development experience in the areas on Lending, Core Banking, Payments and other B2C & B2B products/services/content

• Deep, hands-on programming and technical design skills with demonstrated willingness and capability to learn new technologies quickly

• Ability to quickly build PoCs across latest technologies, including blockchain, OCR/Image recognition, NLP and such to showcase various business use-cases in Lending

• Demonstrated ability to design, build and deliver complex, successful web services and/or customer experiences efficiently and with quality

• Be very technically opinionated and are good at communicating complex technical design choices in a lucid and succinct way to senior management and C-level stakeholders

• Educated on latest developments in the areas of dev-ops and CI/CD, including containerisation, blue-green deployments, 12-factor apps, secrets management etc Managed high-caliber engineering teams across time-zones and regions
